1E-9 Engine Lubrication System:
5) Remove the oil jet (2) (for transmission) from the
lower crankcase.

Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Fit new O-ring (1) to each piston cooling oil jet as
shown and apply engine oil to them.
CAUTION
!
Use new O-rings to prevent oil pressure
leakage.
• Apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK to the bolts
and tighten them to the specified torque.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32110
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1322 or
equivalent)
Tightening torque
Piston cooling oil jet bolt (a): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m,
7.0 lbf-ft)

Oil Gallery Jet Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove the generator cover. Refer to "Generator
Removal and Installation in Section 1J (Page 1J-4)".
2) Remove the oil gallery jet (1).

Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the following point:
• Apply THREAD LOCK to the oil gallery jet and tighten
it to the specified torque.
NOTE
After tighten the jet, make sure that the jet
end is flush with the cover mating surface.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32110
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1322 or
equivalent)
Tightening torque
Oil gallery jet (a): 22 N·m (2.2 kgf-m, 16.0 lbf-ft)
