Precautions for Engine Electrical Device

Refer to "General Precautions in Section 00 (Page 00-1)" and "Precautions for Electrical Circuit Service in Section 00
(Page 00-2)".

Engine Electrical components Location

Refer to "Electrical Components Location in Section 0A (Page 0A-10)".

Engine Symptom Diagnosis

Refer to "Engine Symptom Diagnosis in Section 1A (Page 1A-9)".

ECM Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove the seat. Refer to "Exterior Parts Removal
and Installation (GSF650/S/A/SAK7) in Section 9D
(Page 9D-6)".
2) Remove the battery (–) lead wire. Refer to "Battery
Removal and Installation in Section 1J (Page 1J-
12)".
3) Disconnect the ECM couplers (1) and remove the
ECM (2).
Installation
Install the ECM in the reverse order of removal.

CKP Sensor Inspection

Refer to "DTC "C12" (P0335): CKP Sensor Circuit
Malfunction in Section 1A (Page 1A-27)".

CKP Sensor Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove the generator cover. Refer to "Generator
Removal and Installation in Section 1J (Page 1J-4)".
2) Remove the CKP sensor (1) along with generator
starter.
Installation
Install the CKP sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Refer to "Generator Removal and Installation in Section
1J (Page 1J-4)".

IAP Sensor (#1) Inspection

Refer to "DTC "C13" (P0105-H/L): IAP Sensor (#1)
Circuit Malfunction in Section 1A (Page 1A-30)".
