Command Usage
•
When closed system is enabled, stations with a configured SSID of
"any" are not able to associate with the access point.
Example
ProCurve Access Point 530# configure
ProCurve Access Point 530(config)# radio 1
ProCurve Access Point 530(radio1)# wlan 1
ProCurve Access Point 530(radio1-wlan1)# closed-system
ProCurve Access Point 530(radio1-wlan1)#
mode
This command sets the wireless mode for the interface.
Syntax
mode <a | b | g>
a - 802.11a stations operate in the 5 GHz U-NII band using orthogonal
•
frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). It supports data rates
ranging from 6 to 54 Mbps. Supported only on the access point's
second radio (radio2).
b - 802.11b stations include 5.5 Mbp and 11 Mbps data rates. It uses
•
direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) or frequency hopping
spread spectrum (FHSS) in the 2.4 GHz ISM band as well as comple-
mentary code keying (CCK) to provide the higher data rates. It
supports data rates ranging from 1 to 11 Mbps. Supported on both
the access point's radios (1 and 2).
g - 802.11g stations operate at a higher speed extension (up to 54
•
Mbps) to the 802.11b PHY while operating in the 2.4 GHz band. It uses
orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). It supports data
rates ranging from 1 to 54 Mbps. Supported on both the access
point's radios (1 and 2). By default 802.11g supports 802.11b.
