NMEA Out

National Marine Electronics Association has developed a message standard related to the
marine electronics industry. NMEA messages have been accepted as the standard for
sharing specific data information between companies since the late 1970s. Refer to
"Appendix F NMEA Message Formats" for a comprehensive description of each NMEA
message.
The settings on this screen define the port, the device and the type of NMEA message to be
used for the NMEA Out interface.
Up to two NMEA Out interfaces can be configured. Each NMEA Out interface can output
different messages at different rates with different talker ID's. The output of NMEA messages
on both ports is simultaneous.
The screens for the configuration of both NMEA interfaces are identical except for the title -
NMEA Output 1 and NMEA Output 2. For simplicity, the title NMEA Output is used in the
following.
Select Main Menu: Config...\Interfaces.... Highlight NMEA Out. EDIT (F3).
NMEA Out 2 is not available for RX1250 with SmartAntenna.
