009-703 Waste Container Detached RAP

Control Logic does not detect the presence of the Waste Container.
Initial Actions
Check that the Waste Container is present and is installed correctly.
Procedure
Access the Digital Input Test (GP 2). Enter code 52. Press the Item/Enter button. The display
is 0.

Disconnect P/J 116. There is +5 VDC from J 116 pin 3 to J 116 pin 2.

Go to Flag 4. Check for an open circuit or a short circuit to ground. If the wires are
OK, replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
There is +5 VDC from J 116 pin 1 to J 116 pin 2.

Go to Flag 3. Check for an open circuit or a short circuit to ground. If the wire is OK,
replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
Remove the Locating Rail (REP 9.5). Check the harness of the Toner Box Sensor (Flag 1
and Flag 2). If the wires are OK, replace the Toner Box Sensor (PL 5.1).
Remove the Waste Container. Access the DI Test. Enter code 52. Press the Item/Enter but-
ton. The display is 1.

Disconnect P/J 116. Access the DI Test. Enter code 52. Press the Item/Enter button.
The display is 1.

Go to Flag 3. Check for a short circuit. If the wire is OK, replace the MCU PWB (PL
11.2).

and Flag 2). If the wires are OK, replace the Toner Box Sensor (PL 5.1).
The problem appears to be intermittent. Go to Figure 1. Check for loose or damaged connec-
tions, or pinched wires. If the wires are OK, replace the Toner Box Sensor (PL 5.1). If the prob-
lem persists, replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
