REP 10.11 Pressure Roll

Removal
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair activities with the power switch
on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1.
Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2.
Remove the Main Fuser Assembly (REP 10.2).
3.
Remove the Upper Guide Assembly (REP 10.3).
4.
Remove the Upper Plate (REP 10.4).
5.
Remove the Heat Roll Heat Lamp (REP 10.5).
6.
Remove the Pressure Roll Heat Lamp (REP 10.6).
7.
Remove the Lower Guide Assembly (REP 10.7).
8.
Remove the Heat Roll (REP 10.10).
9.
Prepare to remove the Pressure Roll (Figure 1).

Remove the
screw at front and
rear

Be sure not to damage the surface of the Pressure Roll while removing the roll.
10. Remove the Pressure Roll (Figure 2).
Repairs and Adjustments

and cams

Loosen the Nip
adjustment
screw at front
and rear
CAUTION

Remove the screw

Remove the
Bearings from
the Pressure
Roll

Replacement
1.
Reinstall the Pressure Roll in the reverse order of removal.
2.
Install the Fuser Baffle so that the frames at both sides touch against the Heat Roll Bear-
ings as shown in (Figure 1).
3.
Check the Fuser Nip (ADJ 10.1).
