GP 21 Component Control (IIT)

The purpose is to display the logic state of input signals and to energize output components.
Procedure
1.
Enter the Diagnostic Mode (IIT)
(GP
2.
Navigate to Diag-Code, and press the Select button.
3.
Enter DC Code = 330; subcode = 001, and press Select.
4.
Enter the appropriate Parameter1/Parameter2 value for the component to be energized:

GP 22 Printing Internal Test Patterns (IIT)

The purpose of the Internal Test Patterns procedure is to enable the IIT to print out various
modes of black and white or color prints in several patterns.
Procedure
1.
Load paper in the Bypass Tray.
2.
Enter the Diagnostic Mode (IIT)
3.
Use the up, down, left, and right arrow buttons to highlight the Self Diag menu and press
the Select button.
4.
Use the up, down, left, and right arrow buttons to highlight the Test Print menu and press
the Select button. The following will be displayed:
Color Mode __
Pattern __
the combination of Color Mode 0 and Pattern 6 ALWAYS creates jams at the nip of the fuser.
This pattern generates process black up to the lead edge of sheet; the resulting sheet will not
go through the fuser nip.
5.
Use the number buttons to enter the number for the Color Mode value from
the Color Mode & Pattern screen.

Use the Down Arrow button to scroll down to Pattern.
7.
Use the number buttons to enter the number for the Patterns value from

Press the Select button.
9.
Press the Start button.
NOTE: For every Color Mode (0 - 5) there are six possible test patterns that can be
printed, with the exception of Color Mode 1.
Color Mode 1 is not available with Patterns 4, 5 and 6.
Color Modes 3, 4 or 5 with Pattern 5 will yield a blank page.
