008-704 Area 6 Jam RAP
The Control Logic had detected the signal, Inverter Sensor Sensed (L) +5 VDC at an incorrect
time.
Initial Actions
Clear the jam from the Lower Inverter Assembly.
Check that the Lower Inverter Door Assembly is closed properly.
Check for contamination on the Inverter Rolls.
Procedure
Switch off the power. Remove the Lower Inverter Assembly (REP 8.35). Remove the Inverter
Rear Cover. Install the Inverter Assembly. Check that the Inverter Sensor Actuator is operating
properly. Close the Inverter Chute. Enter diagnostic code [DI-90]. The display indicates a
"1".

Go to Flag 1 and Flag 2. Check the wire for a short circuit to ground. If the wire is good,
replace the Duplex Controller PWB (PL 15.6). If the problem continues, replace the
Inverter Sensor (PL 15.5).
Enter [DO-A3]. The Forward Clutch actuates.

There is 0 VDC from J 139 pin 11 on the Duplex Controller PWB to ground.

Replace the Duplex Controller PWB (PL 15.6).
Go to Flag 5. Check the wires for an open or short circuit to ground. If the wires are good,
replace the Forward Clutch (PL 15.7). If the problem continues, replace the Duplex Con-
troller PWB (PL 15.6).
Enter [DO-A0]. The Inverter Motor operates.

Go to Flag 4. Check that the connectors J 139 and PJ 147 are properly connected. Check
the wires for an open or a short circuit to machine frame. The wires and the connec-
tors are good.

Repair the wires or the connectors.
Go to the Inverter Motor Assembly. There is +24 VDC from PJ 147 pin 1 and pin 3.

Go to Flag 6.Check the wire for an open or a short circuit to GND. If the wires are
good, replace the Duplex Controller PWB (PL 15.6).
Replace the Inverter Motor Assembly (PL 15.5). If the problem continues, replace the
Duplex Controller PWB (PL 15.6).
Enter [DO-A1]. The Inverter Entrance Clutch actuates.

Check for worn, bound or damaged gears in the Inverter drive train. Replace as necessary (PL
15.6).
