REP 4.2 Registration Actuator

Parts List on PL 5.1
Removal
Switch off the power and disconnect the Power Cord.
1. Open the Rear Cover.
2. Remove the Fuser Assembly (REP 5.1).
3. Open the Top Cover and remove the Print Cartridge. Cover the cartridge to protect it from
light.
4. Remove Tray 1.
5. Remove the MBF Assembly (REP 2.1).
6. Remove the Left Side Cover (REP 1.1).
7. Remove the Top Cover Assembly (REP 1.3).
8. Remove the HVPS Cover (REP 1.6).
9. Remove the Paper Transport Assembly (REP 4.1)
10. Note the position of the actuator spring (Figure 1).
11. Move the Registration Actuator to its full actuated position.
12. Slide the Registration Actuator to the left to disengage the right end of the actuator (Fig-
ure 1). Pull the actuator up and out of the Paper Transport Assembly.
13. Remove the spring from the Registration Actuator.
Repair-Adjustment

Replacement
1. Reinstall the components in the reverse order.
