Deletions (Line, Band, Spots)

Procedure
Inspect Test Prints for the presence of deletions (missing image). There should be no deletions
with a diameter larger than 0.5 mm visible on test prints (Figure 1). There are deletions on
the test prints.

There are vertical (in direction of paper movement) Line/Band deletions present.

Fusing

Procedure
NOTE: The operating environment of the printer is from 41o F (5o Celsius) at 15% relative
humidity to 95o F (35o Celsius) at 85% relative humidity. The fusing performance of the printer
will vary according to the environment.
A cold environment will affect the warm-up time.
The weight (lb. / gsm) of the paper or transparency will affect the fusing of prints.
High humidity will have an adverse affect on the fusing of prints.
Check the fusing quality of the image of a System Controller Test Print (Figure 1). Rub the
image three times with a soft cloth or tissue. The image should not lift off of the surface of the
print. The fusing quality of the image meets the specification.
