Installing a Hot-Plug Power Supply

The ProLiant ML750 server is capable of supporting up to three power
supplies. The system power in the ProLiant ML750 server does not have to be
shut off to install additional hot-plug power supplies.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:
Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power

supply.
Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server.

NOTE: The power supplies may not be redundant on your server if the power required by
the options exceeds the power supplied by the remaining power supplies. For more
information, see "Power Requirements" in Chapter 2.
To install a new hot-plug power supply with the system power on:
1. Unlock and remove the power supply security bar by lifting the locking
latch
, pivoting the security bar away from the server
