RBSU comes preinstalled in the system ROM embedded on the server. It has
embedded support for English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese
languages.
NOTE: For additional information on using RBSU refer to the Compaq ROM Based Setup
Utility User Guide.
If you ordered your server with the operating system factory installed, your
server is preconfigured with your chosen operating system. Everything
required to install your operating system is already on the server but you will
still need to complete some configuration tasks. Refer to the Compaq Factory-
Installed Operating System Software User Guide for further instructions.
1. Power on the server and follow the screen prompts.
2. Refer to the Compaq Factory-Installed Operating System Software User
Guide for information about installing the Compaq Server Management
Agents for your operating system.
3. After verifying that your server configuration is correct, back up your
server.
4. Install any application software.
CAUTION: Use the SmartStart and Support Software CD as recovery software
only. Booting the server from the SmartStart and Support Software CD could
reconfigure the system and may result in all data on the server being erased.
