For detailed information concerning security features, refer to the server
Documentation CD.
These software security features are established through the Compaq
ROM-based Setup Utility:
Administrator password—prevents changes to the configuration unless
you enter the password.
Diskette drive control—enables and disables the diskette drive. When
disabled the diskette drive will not read, write, or boot.
Diskette write control—enables and disables diskette write functions.
When disabled will not write, but boot and read functions are still
available.
Keyboard password—locks out the keyboard preventing unauthorized
access to Compaq servers. When the keyboard is locked out it prevents
logins or commands until the proper password is entered.
Network server node—permits system startups from a hard disk or
network server while the keyboard and mouse are disabled.
QuickLock—disables the keyboard and mouse without exiting the
application. The application remains in view on the monitor screen but
you cannot access it.
Serial parallel interface control—blocks the unauthorized transfer of
data through the integrated serial and parallel ports.
These hardware security features are provided:
Easy one-key access to all areas of the server
Power supply security bar with padlock
PCI Hot Plug access door lock with key to protect hot-plug boards
I/O Fan access door lock to protect hot-plug I/O fans
