13. Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable into the server.

Removing a Slimline Optical Drive

1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See
Information" on page
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
System Cover" on page
4. If it is installed, remove the bezel. For instructions, see
Bezel" on page
5. Disconnect the optical drive power and data cables. See letters "A" and "B" in
Figure
6. Remove the screw that holds the optical drive bracket to the server chassis. See
letter "C" in Figure 44. Save this screw. You will reinstall it later.
7. Slide the optical drive out through the front of the system. See letter "D" in
Figure 44.
