Replacing the Front Panel Board (SR1630HGP)

Caution: The front panel is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the front panel, you
must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the
system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power cord
from the system or wall outlet.
You must operate your server with a front panel installed.
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See
Information" on page
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
System Cover" on page
4. Disconnect the front panel cable and the USB cable from the front panel board.
5. Remove the screw that attaches the front panel board to the server system. See
letter "A" in Figure 67. Save the screw. You will re-install it later.
6. Slide the front panel board back (see letter "B" in Figure 67) and lift the front panel
board from the system (see letter "C" in Figure 67).
