Configuring Junos OS NAT Objects

VIP—Select the virtual IP address configuration for that interface.
If no values appear in the pull-down menu for interface or VIP, ensure that you have
configured VIP correctly in the Device Manager. You can add multiple device VIPs to a
single global VIP object.
For information about configuring a VIP object and an example, see the NSM Online Help
description "Configuring Firewall/VPN Devices."
You can configure NAT objects (source NAT and destination NAT objects) for devices
running on the Junos OS. These objects represent user-defined address pools and during
network address translation, the original source or destination IP address within a packet
is translated to an IP address within this pool. For more information on configuring these
objects, see the following sections:

Configuring Source NAT Objects

A source NAT object consists of a user-defined address pool and is used during source
address translation. You can use this object while configuring a rule so that when the
rule is matched, the source IP address of the packet is translated to an IP address from
this pool.

Adding a Source NAT Object
To add a source NAT object:
