Store the slot cover in case you choose to use it in the future.

3 1/2-Inch Diskette Drive Removal

Remove the 3 1/2-inch diskette drive as follows:
Remove the system unit cover as previously described (see "System Unit Cover

Removal").
Unplug the diskette drive power cable and signal cable from the diskette drive

(see Figure 5-9).
3. Remove the four diskette drive screws (two to a side) from the 3 1/2-inch diskette
drive bracket (see Figure 5-10 and Figure 5-11).
