A – Bracket Screws

3 1/2-Inch Diskette Drive Removal

Remove the 3 1/2-inch diskette drive as follows.
1. Remove the system unit cover as previously described.
2. Remove the front panel as previously described.
3. Label and unplug the signal and power cables from the back of the diskette
drive.
Note:
power cables are keyed to fit only in the correct position.
4. Loosen the screw holding the diskette drive to the diskette drive bracket (see
the following figure.
5. Remove the two screws securing the other side of the diskette drive to the
bracket
6. Slide the diskette drive out of the 3 1/2-inch drive slot.
