4.7.3 Single-wire pneumatic drive for trailer brakes

Against order tractors "BELARUS-2022.6" may be equipped with a single-wire
pneumatic drive for trailer brakes.
A single-wire pneumatic drive for trailer brakes provides brake control for trailers
and agricultural machines, equipped with a single-wire pneumatic brake drive. Pneumatic
drive is also used for tire inflation and other purposes which require compressed air en-
ergy. The diagram for a single-wire pneumatic drive is shown in figure 4.7.2.
Pneumatic drive has coupling head 6 (figure 4.7.2) of valve type. Valve of coupling
head prevents air outlet when using a pneumatic drive without a trailer (for example, dur-
ing tire inflation) and at emergency separation of a trailer. When a trailer brake line con-
nects with a tractor line, valve of coupling head opens letting compressed air go from trac-
tor pneumatic drive to the trailer. At this, coupling of a pneumatic line shall be carried out in
the absence of pressure in tractor tank 7.
ATTENTION: BEFORE COUPLING OR UNCOUPLING TRACTOR AND TRAILER
PNEUMATIC LINES, ENGAGE A PARKING BRAKE! COUPLING OF TRACTOR AND
TRAILER PNEUMATIC LINES SHALL BE CARRIED OUT IN THE ABSENCE OF PRES-
SURE IN THE TRACTOR PNEUMATIC SYSTEM!

moval; 4 – brake valve; 5 – connecting line; 6 – connecting head; 7 – tank; 8 – pressure
regulator valve; 9 – air bleed valve; 10 – air pressure sensor; 11 – sensor for emergency air
pressure.

4.7.4 Hydraulic drive of trailer brakes

Tractors "BELARUS-2022.6" can be equipped with the hydraulic drive of trailer
brakes against order.
The hydraulic drive of trailer brakes is interlocked with tractor operating brakes con-
trol and provides actuation of wheel brakes of trailer or semi-trailer, equipped with the sys-
tem of the hydraulic drive of trailer brakes. The hydraulic connecting line is fed from the
HLL pump that provides pressure between 10 ...15 MPa and is made as single-wire brake
system. The connection of the hydraulic drive corresponds to the standard ISO/5676 of
1983.
