LEFT CALIPER INSTALLATION
Install
the
left brake
caliper
onto the bracket.
Install
the
left brake cal
iper/b
racket assembly
over
the
brake disc.
Insta
ll
the
new caliper
pivot
bolt
and secondary
master
cylinder
joint
bolt.
Tighten
the bolts
to the
specified torque.
TORQUE:
Pivot
bolt:
31 N
·m
(3.2
kgf·m,
23 lbf.ft)
Joint bolt:
31 N
·m
(3.2
kgf·m,
23 lbf.ft)
Insta
ll the
brake
hose
eyelet
joints to
the
caliper
body
with
new sealing
washers
and oil
bolts.
Push the
brake
hose
eyelet to the stopper
o
n
the
cal-
iper,
then
tighten the
oil
bolt
to the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 34
N·m
(3.5
kgf·m, 25
lbf.ft)
Install
the brake
pads
(page
15-17).
Fill
and
bleed
the front brake
hydraulic
system
(page 15-7).
REAR BRAKE CALIPER
REMOVAL
Remove
the
rear
w heel
(page
14-5).
Drain
t
he rear
brake
hydraulic
system
(page 15-7).
Avoid spilling fluid
Remove the oil
bolts,
sealing washers and
brake
on painted, plastic,
hose eyelet
joints.
or
rubber
parts.
Place
a
shop towel
over these parts
whenever the
sys-
tem
is
serviced.
