Valve Clearance - Honda INTERCEPTOR 2002 Service Manual

Rear cylinder:
Insta ll the direct ignition coils and tighten the bolts
securely.
Connect the connectors to each direct ignition coil.
Close the fuel tank (page 3-5).
Front cylinder:
Install the direct ignition coils and tighten the bolts
securely.
Connect the connectors to each direct ig nition coi l.
Install the side cowls (page 2-10).

INSPECTION
the valve clearance
Remove the fol lowing :
while the engine is
cold (below 35"C! -
Front camshaft (page 8-11)
95"FJ -
Rear camshaft (page 8-1 4)
Remove t he valve lifters and slide pin holders from
t he VT EC valve lifter bore.
Remove t he VTEC slide pin ho lder from t he valve
lifter.
Instal l the slide pin stopper into the slide pin hole.
TOOL:
Slide pin stopper
07XMZ-MCE0100
While pushing the slide pin stopper into the slide
pin hole, install the slide pin holder into the valve
lifter and lock the slide pin holder.
