SUSPENSION LINKAGE
REMOVAL
Do nor service the
Support the motorcycle on its center stand.

Remove the following:
while the exhaust
system is hot.
- Shock absorber lower mounting bolt/nut
Shock arm bolt/nut (link plate side)
Shock arm bolt/nut (frame side)
Shock arm
Shock link pate-to-swingarm bolt/nut (frame)
Shock link p lates
INSPECTION
Check that the suspension li nkage components for
damage, replace any damaged components.
SHOCK LINK BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the pivot collars and dust seals.
Press the needle bearing out of the shock link using
the special tools.
TOOL:
Pin driver 07GMD-KT80100
Press the needle
Press a new needle bearing into the shock link so
beanng mto the
that the needle bearing surface is 5.2 - 5.7 mm

(0.20 - 0.22 in) from the end of the shock link

using the special tools.
