Start the engine and let it idle.
IDLE SPEED: 1,200

100 rpm
The igniti on t im ing is correct if the index mark on
the right crankcase cover aligns between the "F"
mark on the ignition pulse generator rotor as
shown .
Increase t he engine speed by t urning the throttl e
stop screw and make sure the "F" mark begins to
move counterclockwise when the engine speeds at
approxi mately 2,000 rpm.
Check the 0-ring is in good co ndit ion, replace if nec-
essary.
Apply oil to the 0 -ring.
Apply grease to t he timing hole cap threads.
Tighten the timi ng hole cap to the specif ied torque.
TORQUE: 18 N·m (1.8 kgf·m, 13 lbf·ft)
