Switches and controls
The ISS functions are enabled once the vehicle
speed exceeds 10 km/h.
1. Depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle.
In a few seconds after the vehicle has stopped,
the
starts flashing slowly, the engine is automatically
stopped.
2. Keep the brake pedal depressed while the
engine has been automatically stopped.

NOTE:
The engine will not be automatically stopped if
you open the driver's door or assistant driver's
door before the automatic engine stop operation
is completed. Close the door to automatically
stop the engine.
If the ISS is activated and the engine is stopped
while the headlamps (low beam) or fog lamps
<vehicles with fog lamps> are illuminated, the
headlamps (low beam) or fog lamps <vehicles
with fog lamps> are automatically turned off.
When the engine is started automatically, the
lamps will automatically come on.
After the ISS is activated and the engine is auto-
matically stopped, the air conditioner <vehicles
with an air conditioner> will operate the fan for 1
minute.
If the engine has been automatically stopped for
a long time and you wish to turn on the air condi-
tioner, press the ISS cutoff switch to disable the
ISS functions, then place the gearshift lever in
the "P" position and start the engine using the
starter switch.
