2.1 Warnings for BlueTec
treatment
Four different combinations (patterns) of warning
lamp/indicator lamp operation warn you of the differ-
ent abnormal conditions with the BlueTec
gas aftertreatment as shown below.
Quantity of AdBlue
has fallen too low.

Quantity of AdBlue
has fallen further.

• Urea tank has become
empty.
• A driving restriction automat-
ically engages.

• Abnormality in exhaust gas
is detected or BlueTec
exhaust gas aftertreatment is
faulty.
• Engine power is restricted
depending on the type of
fault or abnormality.

*1: When you have driven the vehicle for 36 hours
after the warning lamp first came on, the
warning lamp comes on and remains lit, and
the engine power is restricted.
