vehicle of similar weight at a speed of about 50
km/h or lower
NOTE:
The SRS air bag will deploy at a higher speed if the
vehicle collides with an object that absorbs shock
(such as a vehicle or guard rail that deforms or
moves).

5.3 When the SRS air bag does not have the
intended effects
In the following cases, the SRS air bag may func-
tion, but will not protect passengers even when it
inflates:

When the vehicle is struck from the rear
