5 Interior care
CAUTION
Do not use an organic solvent such as thin-
ner and gasoline or an acidic or alkaline sol-
vent on painted surfaces, as these will cause
discoloration and stains.
Be sure to remove the floor mats before
washing the cab in water. Failure to do so
may result in rusting of the floor and the
water could cause relays, switches and com-
puters to fail. Water may also affect opera-
tion of the accelerator pedal. The floor mat
must be removed from the vehicle whenever
it is washed. A washed mat, especially the
felt on its back, must be completely dried
before putting back. Install the mat correctly
so that it does not interfere with the acceler-
ator pedal or other moving components.
Never wash the cab interior directly with
water from a hose. Doing so may cause the
floor to rust, and also cause water to leak
into relays, computers and other electric/
electronic components, causing them to fail.
Should water collect inside the cab, drain it
by removing the drain plug or wipe it dry
using a cloth or other appropriate material.
1. Dust should be removed with a vacuum cleaner.
2. Dirt, if not loose, should be removed with a soft
cloth wetted with diluted neutral detergent.
3. Remove the detergent thoroughly using a soft
cloth soaked in plain water after wringing out the
cloth.
4. Dry washed mats in the shade with good ventila-
tion.
