3 How to use hill start assist system
WARNING
Be sure to take the following precautions
when the hill start assist system is activated
in case of accidental deactivation of the sys-
tem, which would cause the vehicle to start
moving and may cause an accident.
•
Do not press the "OFF" side of the hill
start assist system main switch.
•
Do not apply the parking brake.
•
Do not turn the starter switch to the "ACC"
or "LOCK" position.
•
Do not remove any of the related fuses
(including high-current fuse) and do not
disconnect the battery.
1. Press the "ON" side of the hill start assist sys-
tem main switch
If you press the main switch, the indicator lamp
comes on.

2. Stop the vehicle by depressing the brake pedal.
3. Place the gearshift lever in neutral or keep the
clutch pedal fully depressed.
