7. Remove the frame and then remove the element gasket (see
Element Gasket and Frame – Removal and Replacement,
page 69).
8. Set the glass element assembly back down and carefully guide
the element terminal wires through the receptacle when lifting the
element off of the housing (see Figure 122, page 71).
9. Remove matting from the element housing (Figure 123, page 72).
NOTE: For any servicing that requires lifting the glass heating
element (such as removing or replacing the slides and
temperature limiters), check if thermal tape is on the glass
element and if the matting installed is 3-holed. If so, remove the
thermal tape from the glass element and temperature limiters as
the tape is no longer being used, and also replace the matting with
the new 1-holed matting.
10. To remove a slide assembly, remove and retain the screw that
secures the slide assembly onto the housing. If the new matting is
installed and there is no thermal tape on the glass element, just lift
up the glass element and 1-holed matting enough to remove the
screw on the housing that supports the slide to be removed (see
Figure 125 and Figure 126).

11. Replace the slide assembly(s) if needed.

Warming Drawer Temperature Limiter – Removal and
Replacement
The temperature limiters on the warming drawer are thermostats
that serve to regulate the temperature to the glass heating element.
NOTE: Before replacing a temperature limiter, see Warming Drawer
Diagnostics, page 19.
Be sure to check QuickFinder for relevant information, documentation,
and the correct part number when replacing this component.
1. Follow the procedure for Removing the Warming Drawer from the
Cavity, page 66.
2. Perform steps 2–3 of the Warming Drawer Sensor – Removal and
Replacement procedure, page 68.
3. Remove the two screws from each side of the heating element
housing that hold the wiring tray (see Figure 119, page 70).
4. While securing the glass element assembly with one hand,
position the warming drawer housing standing on its side, and
then detach the wire tray (see Figure 119, page 70).
