Reed Sensor Board – Removal and Replacement
Be sure to check QuickFinder for relevant information,
documentation, and the correct part number when replacing this
component.
1. Perform all steps contained in Water Tank Housing and Funnel
Assembly Components – Removal and Replacement, page 52.
2. Detach the two wire connectors on the reed sensor board, and
then remove and retain the two screws on the reed sensor board
(see Figure 82).
3. Remove the reed sensor board, and replace if needed.

Detaching the Funnel Assembly from the Tank Housing

Be sure to check QuickFinder for relevant information,
documentation, and the correct part number when replacing this
component.
1. Perform all steps contained in Water Tank Housing and Funnel
Assembly Components – Removal and Replacement, page 52.
2. Push the two tabs on the funnel assembly outward (see Figure 82)
to remove the funnel assembly from the tank housing.

Servicing the Funnel Assembly Components

Be sure to check QuickFinder for relevant information,
documentation, and the correct part number when replacing these
components.
1. Perform all steps contained in Water Tank Housing and Funnel
Assembly Components – Removal and Replacement, page 52.
2. Push the two tabs on the funnel assembly outward (see Figure 82)
to remove the funnel assembly.
3. If needed, use a small flat blade screwdriver to remove (and then
replace) the rubber seal that is located on the tank housing, where
adjoined to the funnel assembly. See Figure 83, page 56.
4. If needed, detach the funnel assembly and then remove and
replace the rubber O ring (see Figure 84, page 56).
5. If needed, remove the valve on the funnel assembly by first
making sure the wire connector is detached, and then rotating the
valve until it can be pulled out (see Figure 85 and Figure 86,
page 56).
6. Replace the O ring on the valve, or the valve if needed (see
Figure 86, page 56).
NOTE: If the assembly components are not sealed properly, water
may leak into the evaporator cup.
