6.7.12 Evaporation Cup and Gasket – Removal and
Replacement
This procedure requires access from both the back and the front
of the range.

1. Follow all safety precautions and steps in the Preparing the Range
for Servicing, page 25.
2. Remove the backguard (see Backguard Removal and
Replacement, page 100).
3. Remove the back steam oven panel (see Back Panel for Steam
Oven – Removal and Replacement, page 102).

4. Remove both the warming drawer and warming drawer cavity
from the back of the range (see Removing the Warming Drawer
and Cavity from the Range, page 64).
5. Remove the two spade wire connectors from the evaporation cup.
6. Pull to detach water tube from evaporation cup (see Figure 75).
7. Remove and retain the four nuts from the evaporation cup
standoffs (see Figure 76).

8. Push the evaporation cup upwards, into the steam oven cavity.
9. From inside the steam oven cavity, pull out the evaporation cup,
and replace if needed.
NOTE: When installing the evaporation cup, the two spade wire
connectors can be connected to either of the two terminals.
10. Pull the rubber gasket off of the evaporation cup, and replace the
gasket if needed.
