Troubleshooting

When an error occurs while in the execution of the ISWTrns program.
Condition
1
The ISWTrns does
not start up.

The screen is dis-
played in English.

When an item in the
combo box is
selected, the trans-
ferred file is not dis-
played.

"NG" is displayed
while in the file check.

"??" is displayed
while in the file check.

The transfer of the file
failed.
An error "The file can-
not be opened" is
displayed.
An error "Term Test
file cannot be sent" is
displayed.
Cause
The ISWTrns file is damaged
The setup disk itself is damaged.
The Japanese DLL[RCJP.DLL] is
damaged.
The INI file is set incorrectly. (The INI
file in English version is used.)
The transferred file is not stored in
the relevant folder.
The data folder in the option screen
is set incorrectly.
The file name is illegal (or has been
changed.)
The folder name is illegal (or has
been changed.)
The transferred file is damaged.
When the transferred file was cop-
ied to the PC, the copying of the
checksum file (*.SUM) was forgot-
ten.
The file is being used by anther pro-
gram or system.
The connection of the cable is loos-
ened.
The main body is not in the receiv-
ing condition.
5. FIRMWARE VERSION UP
Measure taken
Set it up again.
Check the setup disk and set it up
again.
Set it up again.
Check the ISWTrns.INI file.
Check to see if the relevant file is stored
in the folder displayed in the "Folder"
text box of "Select version." When a
folder into which a file is stored is not
found, use the "File copy" function.
Check the setting of the data folder.
When a folder into which a file is stored
is not found, use the "File copy" func-
tion.
The file name must be used with no
change made. When the file name is
changed, the display or selection of the
file becomes unavailable. When the file
name is changed, return it to former
state.
When the folder name created by the
"Create folder" button in the option
screen has been changed, it cannot be
found. Return it to former state and
check it again.
Copy the file and check it again. When
"NG" still recurs, contact the supplier of
the file.
Copy the checksum file to the same file
as the one for the transferred file at the
same time. (If you use the "Copy a file"
function, a copy is made automatically.)
Exit another program. The error still
recurs, reboot Windows.
Check the cable to see if it is connected
securely or if there is any problem found
with the cable itself.
Check the main body to see if it is in the
receiving condition.
