When using indoor illumination such as a
fluorescent lamp or a floor lamp, make sure that
such illumination is positioned at least one meter
away from the plotter.
•
Insufficient distance may cause the sensors to malfunction
and prevent correct detection of the loaded medium.
Before cutting a medium when you are uncertain
of its optimum cutting conditions, run a test cut in
advance.
•
A cutting operation based on unsuitably specified cutting
conditions will place a heavy load on the blade and plotter,
causing the blade to break or the plotter to break down.
Safety Precautions
If an edge of the loaded medium comes loose,
secure it with drafting tape or a similar means.
•
The cutter's blade may break if its tip gets caught on a loose
edge of the medium.
