Chapter 3 PREPARATIONS FOR CUTTING/PLOTTING
Setting the Quality [QUALITY]
This setting determines the quality of the cut or plotted results. Please see Section 3.9, "Media and Cutting Conditions"
for further details on the setting values.
(1) With the plotter in Ready status, press a key from [F1] to [F4] to select the COND No. that you wish to change.
(2) Press the
[CONDITIONS] key to display the following screen. (The display will differ according to the setting
conditions that have been made.)

(3) Press the [F4] key to move the blinking cursor to the QUALITY parameter.

(5) When the displayed settings are correct, press the
key.
Thick Mode Settings
The Thick Mode is used for cutting thick media such as rubber for sandblasting masks and thick paper for garment
patterns as well as hard media such as acrylic film. This setting is only enabled for the COND Nos. to which THICK
mode has been assigned.
Cutting the media referred to above when THICK Mode has not been selected may cause the cutter blade to break or
damage the plotter.

Thick Mode is not enabled when "PEN" or "CP001" has been selected as the cutter blade type.

(1) When Thick Mode has been specified, the blinking cursor is displayed located over the Tool No. when the plotter is
in Ready status.
