Chapter 3 PREPARATIONS FOR CUTTING/PLOTTING
3.6 Attaching the origin point alignment guides
Two origin point alignment guides (strips of black tape) are provided as standard accessories with your plotter.
Affix these guides to the L-shaped origin point guidelines drawn by your plotter at the lower left of the writing panel.
Aligning the edges of the medium with these guides facilitates media loading.

Do not use a cutter pen to draw the lines.
•
The L-shape can only be used for the lower-left origin position. (Do not use it for the HP-GL center origin position.)
•
If you will be using your plotter for a perf cut (cut thru) application, be sure to paste the adhesive mat to the writing
panel before starting your cutting operation. Please see Section 3.5, "Loading the Medium" for further details.
•
The lines will be drawn at the standard lower-left origin position. If you wish to change the position. Please see
Section 3.10 "Setting the Cutting Origin" for further details.
•
When affixing the guides to the FC4500-50 or FC4500-60 plotter, make sure that they do not touch the pen-sensing
rubber strip (the rectangular rubber strip near the origin point).
•
