3.3 Mounting the Tools

If your plotter is the FC4500-50 or FC4500-60 model

Mounting a plotting pen in the tool carriage
When mounting a cutter pen in the plotter, push the pen all the way into the tool holder until it contacts the upper part of
the tool holder as shown in the figure below and then tighten the screw firmly to hold it in place.

(1) Loosen the tool holder screw sufficiently to enable a cutter pen to be inserted up to its flange.
(2) While pushing the tool holder in the upward direction, push the cutter pen all the way into the holder until it contacts
the upper part of the tool holder.
When you push the tool holder up with your fingers, take care not to touch the cutter blade.
