Verifying the Installation

To verify a successful installation of the DCD, follow these steps:
1.
Open a UNIX shell.
2. At the prompt, enter
A hardware inventory list will appear, similar to the one shown in Figure 3-7.
3. Look for the following line describing the DCD:
DCD
If the above line does not appear, proceed to Chapter 5, "Troubleshooting and
Technical Specifications."
Note: If a DCD is installed in a Silicon Graphics Fuel workstation, or if one or two DCDs
are installed in a Dual Head Octane system, the hardware inventory list will be slightly
different than the Single Head Octane inventory shown in Figure 3-7. However, you
should still look for a line that says "DCD" (or look for two such lines, if you have two
DCDs installed).
