Authentication must occur via an external device. If Use Alvarion access controller is enabled
(under General), this must be an Alvarion access controller, otherwise a third-party RADIUS server
can be used.

For security reasons, using 802.1X without enabling at least WEP encryption is not recommended.
When the Mandatory option is enabled, all wireless users must authenticate using 802.1X,
regardless of whether other methods are active. For more information, see
Authentication Type in a Virtual Network" on page 71
