8.14.2 SmartSurveil

Smart.Surveil is a self-contained program for monitoring door statuses.
Network-compatible devices detect events and save them to the LSM
database via the CommNode server. SmartSurveil monitors the LSM
database for changes on an on-going basis and displays the current status
of networked, monitored locking devices.
The SREL3 ADV system controller is a networked device and may also be
monitored by SmartSurveil. There is one particular thing to remember: the
controller is not a locking device and is thus unable to detect locking
statuses itself. Instead, the inputs are evaluated at the digital inputs and
may be shown as "open", "locked" or "closed" in SmartSurveil. However,
you need to set up SmartSurveil first:
ü Events for inputs to be monitored set up in LSM (see Evaluating
controller inputs [} 98]).
ü SmartSurveil linked to database.
ü User logged on to SmartSurveil.
ü SREL3 ADV system controller is displayed.
1. Change to the [Doors] tab.
2. Click on the Settings button.
ð The "SmartSurveil: Settings" window will open.
