Airbag System (Diagnostics)

DIAGNOSIS:
¼ Seat belt pretensioner (LH) circuit is shorted to the power supply.
¼ Pretensioner is faulty.
¼ Pretensioner harness is faulty.
¼ Airbag control module is faulty.
CAUTION:
¼ Before diagnosing the airbag system, be sure to turn the ignition switch OFF, disconnect the
ground cable from the battery, and wait more than 20 seconds before starting to work.
¼ Before replacing the airbag module, roll connector, control module and the sensor, reconnect
each part and confirm that the warning light operates properly.
¼ When inspecting the side airbag harness, disconnect the side airbag module connector and seat
belt pretensioner connector for the safety reasons.
