4.5 Quick Start for Collecting Data

While it is recommended that you go through the Tools and System Configuration to ensure that
everything is properly configured, sometimes the user just needs to quickly get the system setup
and collecting data. This section gives a quick overview of what you need to do prior to
surveying.
1. Set Units (5.1.2) to Metric or Us Standard.
2. Go to System Configuration
Window/Depth and Step Size.
3. Go into Scope Mode
4. From the main menu, select
5. Enter Line Scan
and create depth slices
6. When the survey is finished, insert a USB memory stick into the DVL and
(5.3.5) or go to
(6) and input the Survey Type, Antenna Frequency, Time
(5.2.5) to set the First Break properly.
Run System
(7.1) to collect individual lines or
File Management (5.3) to export and view only certain projects.
(7) and then select a Project number.
