If you only need to collect data in one direction, everything is configured the same way, but you
would just stop here and not collect lines in the other direction.
Note: Periodically ensure that the line you are collecting matches what is displayed on the
screen. This is especially important as the grid sizes get larger and you may misplace your
position.
7.2.8 Viewing & Recollecting lines
Use the 4-way directional keypad to select different X and Y lines. The selected line will always
be in white. Collected lines are red and lines remaining to be collected are green. It may be
necessary to recollect a line if you make a mistake. To recollect a line, select it and press Start.
You will be prompted with a message asking if you want to overwrite that line (Figure 7-39).
Press Yes to proceed.
To change the way a line is viewed/displayed, select it and press Line View. This displays the
selected line in the Line Scan screen (Figure 7-40). From here you have the option of modifying
the image by changing the Zoom, Color, Filter and Gain values, adding Interps, as well as
calibrating for velocity (see
If the line is long and not displayed on one screen, use the left and right arrows on the
directional keypad to scroll through the line.
It is also possible to switch to the other collected grid lines using the up and down arrows on the
directional keypad.
