8.2 Setting the default values for IDEC SmartRelay
Setting the backlight choice in parameter assignment mode
Follow these steps to set the backlight choice:

The default setting is that the backlight is not on. To set the backlight to always be on,

If you want to set the backlight in programming mode, select menu command
main menu, then menus

The backlight lifetime of the Text Display is 20000 hours.
ou can change the backlight colors of the IDEC SmartRelay onboard display or the FL1F-
RD1 by means of some special markers (M25, M26, M28 to M31). For more information,
refer to section Constants and connectors (Page 111) . If you use these special markers in
your circuit programs, the backlight setting through the above menu commands takes no
effect.
