Output-off states

NOTE
For the Model 2430 Pulse Mode, output-off is always set to NORMAL.
HIGH IMPEDANCE
With this output-off state, the output relay opens when the OUTPUT is turned OFF. This
disconnects external circuitry from the input/output of the SourceMeter. To prevent exces-
sive wear on the output relay, do not use this output off state for tests that turn the output
off and on frequently (such as the Output Auto-Off mode). Note that there is a ~ 15msec
settling time for the relay when the output is turned on.
NORMAL
When in this relatively high-impedance output-off state, the V-Source is selected and set to
0V. Current compliance is set to 0.5% full scale of the present current range. In theory,
with the V-Source set to zero, the SourceMeter will not source or sink power. In practice,
the source value may not be exactly at zero. Therefore, the SourceMeter may source or
sink a very small amount of power. In most cases, this source or sink power level is not
significant.
