9.1.4 +COPS, Operator Selection

This command enables accessories to access the network registration information, and the selection and
registration of the GSM network operator. The Module is registered in the Home network.
The Enhanced Operator Name String (EONS) feature enables the Module to return the operator name
displayed on the handset. This feature allows the SIM card to store a mapping of MCC/MNC code pairs to
the displayed operator name. As a result, several operators can share a single network while having their
handsets display their own name as the network operator.
Testing the enhanced ONS feature requires a "SIM ONS" SIM card.
