Chapter 2 Cisco IOS Commands for the Catalyst 4500 Series Switches
hw-module port-group
To select either Gigabit Ethernet or 10-Gigabit Ethernet interfaces on your module, use the hw-module
port-group command.
Syntax Description module

Usage Guidelines This command is available on the Cisco Catalyst 4500 modules that support TwinGig converter modules,
such as the Supervisor Engine 6-E and WS-X4606-10GE-E.
Examples
The following example shows how to select Gigabit Ethernet interfaces on a WS-X4606-10GE-E using
the TwinGig Converter:
Switch# config terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Switch(config)# hw-module module 1 port-group 1 select gigabitethernet
Switch(config)# exit
Use the show interfaces status command to display your configuration.

Specifies a line module.
Specifies a module which supports TwinGig converter.
Port group number on a switch.
