To configure the duplex operation on an interface, use the duplex command. To return to the default
setting, use the no form of this command.

Default Setting Guidelines
half If the speed is set to auto, you will
not be able to set the duplex mode.
If the speed is set to 10 or 100, and
you do not configure the duplex
setting, the duplex mode is set to half
duplex.
half
Not supported. Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are set to
full duplex.
If the speed is set to auto or 1000,
you will not be able to set duplex.
If the speed is set to 10 or 100, and
you do not configure the duplex
setting, the duplex mode is set to half
duplex.
