Detailed description
2.2 Startup
Fault messages
If the RESU main program is created in the dynamic memory area of the NC but no DRAM
memory is requested (MD18351 $MN_MM_DRAM_FILE_MEM_SIZE = 0 (size of part
program memory (DRAM)), the following alarm is displayed during NC power-up:
• Alarm "75604 Channel 1 reverse travel not possible, error no. 2"
SRAM memory configuration
If the RESU main program is created in the dynamic memory area of the NC, it is retained
even after a POWER OFF. However, since RESU regenerates the RESU main program
every time the retrace support function is used, this parameter setting is not recommended.
2.2.5

Storage location of the RESU subroutines

Meaning
The following RESU-specific subroutines can be stored as user cycles or manufacturer
cycles:
• INI program: CC_RESU_INI.SPF
• END program CC_RESU_END.SPF
• Retrace support ASUB CC_RESU_BS_ASUP.SPF
• RESU ASUB CC_RESU_BS_ASUP.SPF
User cycles
The RESU-specific subroutines are stored by default as user cycles due to the default
settings of the machine data:
• MD62574 $MC_RESU_SPECIAL_FEATURE_MASK, bit 2 = 0 (additional RESU features)
Manufacturer cycles
To store the RESU-specific subroutines as manufacturer cycles, the following machine data
must be set:
• MD62574 $MC_RESU_SPECIAL_FEATURE_MASK, bit 2 = 1 (additional RESU features)
Series commissioning
The first time the NC is powered up after activating the technological function, the RESU-
specific subroutines with their default content are stored as user cycles due to the default
setting in the machine data:
MD62574 $MC_RESU_SPECIAL_FEATURE_MASK, bit 2 = 0 (additional RESU features)
If the setting is then changed to specify that the RESU-specific subroutines are to be stored
as manufacturer cycles, the RESU-specific subroutines already created as user cycles are
retained even after a new power-up and must be deleted.
