Release the mechanical brake
This application allows implementation of a brake control for machine axes AX1=Master axis
and AX2=Slave axis in a master-slave coupling.
Preconditions
• Master-slave coupling is configured.
• Axes are stationary.
• No servo enable signals.
Typical sequence of operations
Action
48
Request to close the coupling
Set controller enable
Interpreting the feedback
Release brakes
Effect/comment
The following PLC interface signal is set:
DB31, ... DBX24.7 (Master/Slave ON)
PLC interface signal "Servo enable" DB31, ...
DBX2.1 is set for both axes.
Link PLC interface signals of the master axis
using AND:
DB31, ... DBX61.7 (current controller active)
DB31, ... DBX61.6 (speed controller active)
DB31, ... DBX61.5 (position controller active)
Link PLC interface signals of the saster axis using
AND:
DB31, ... DBX61.7 (current controller active)
DB31, ... DBX61.6 (speed controller active)
DB31, ... DBX96.7 (master/slave active)
If the result of the AND operations on the master
and slave axes is ≠ 0, the brake may be released.
Special functions: Speed/Torque Coupling, Master-Slave (TE3)
