Once the Call Server is back up verify that it is running the configuration you expect before
connecting it back into the network.

You can now restore voicemail and any web pages (as described in the Troubleshooting Voicemail
section from page 261 and in the Internal Web Server section from page 264).

Copy any wav files required for music on hold back in to ftp directory on the Call Server (as
described in the Admin access to the Call Server section on page 273.)

Ensure you can make calls.
Phone or Trunk Module

Ensure the Auto Add Phones feature is disabled within the relevant Call Server.

Connect the new module to the system and power up.

The new module will appear in the Unassigned Modules list

Select the module and copy its MAC address (serial number)

From the Modules list open the existing module and change its MAC address (serial number) for
that of the new one.

Update this change

Delete the new module from the Unassigned Modules list.
IP Phone

Ensure the Auto Add Phones feature is disabled within the relevant Call Server.

Connect the new phone to the system and power up

The new phone will appear in the Unassigned Phones list

Select the phone and copy its MAC address (serial number)

From the Phones list open the existing phone and change its MAC address (serial number) to that
of the new one.

The original User will be automatically logged into the replacement phone
Upgrading the System
Upgrading the S8000 and S716
Software upgrades will be supplied as a file such as
S8000-Linux.3.3.102.tar.gz
To install the upgrade file follow the same instructions as described in the Installing the S8000 software
section from page 3.
Upgrading a module
Software upgrades will be supplied as a file such as
cs5100.patch.4.0.70.tar.gz (for the 5100 Call Server)
igm.4.0.66.tar.gz (for the Intelligent Gateway modules)
cs5108.patch.4.0.70.tar.gz (for the 5108 Call Server)
tm52xx.4.0.70.tar.gz (for the 5230/5204 Trunk Module)
callserver.patch.4.4.70.tar.gz (for the 4100 Call Server)
rcallserver.patch.4.4.70.tar.gz (for the 4140 Remote Call Server)
